Clear Pricing
Our fee covers the licensed dealer work required to receive, document, secure and complete the eligible transfer. Transfer fees are due at pickup unless arranged otherwise.
Keeping fees fair as the process changes. The transition has created extra processing and bookkeeping work as different transfer methods are used. Our fees reflect the work involved: $85.00 for an NFA item arriving on Form 3, $45.00 for an NFA item arriving without Form 3, and $45.00 for a standard FFL transfer. We are working to keep pricing as fair and transparent as possible while these changes settle in. These are Texas Guns service fees, not ATF fees.
Standard Firearm Transfer
Buyer remains responsible for seller charges, shipping, return shipping, restocking fees and other costs not included in the Texas Guns transfer fee.
Request Standard TransferNFA Arrival on Form 3
Applies when your NFA item arrives at Texas Guns on an ATF Form 3, the dealer-to-dealer NFA transfer form.
Form 3 arrivals create an additional NFA documentation and inventory-reconciliation step in our workflow. The $85.00 fee reflects the extra staff time needed to keep those records consistent during this transition.
NFA Arrival Without Form 3
Applies when your eligible NFA item arrives at Texas Guns without a Form 3 under the applicable transfer process.
There is no incoming Form 3 to review and reconcile, so this workflow involves less paperwork and bookkeeping than a Form 3 arrival. We pass that time savings along through the lower $45.00 fee. Required transfer records and eligibility checks still apply.
From Purchase to Pickup
Contacting us before shipment helps prevent missing documentation, unexpected returns and avoidable delays.
Tell us what you are purchasing, who is sending it and provide your name, phone number and order information.
Choose Texas Guns during checkout or have the seller contact us for the required license information.
The seller includes the documentation Texas Guns requires to identify the sender, buyer and firearm.
We inspect the shipment, verify records and enter the firearm into the required dealer inventory.
Texas Guns contacts you after the firearm is processed and ready for the in-person transfer—not merely delivered by the carrier.
The actual transferee presents valid ID, completes Form 4473 and satisfies all required checks before release.
